Dr. Peter Levine often says that trauma separates us from our capacity to respond – as he says, our ‘response-ability.’ Put another way, what has happened to us in the ‘there and then’ can show up and influence the ‘here and now,’ thus preventing us from Being In and responding accurately to the moment we are in. Trauma can prevent us from a more full and whole presence.
A presence in which we can feel ourselves fully, as well as feeling connected into the interconnected; a deep connection and attunement with the person or people we are with. I refer to this as Sacred Wholeness.

As John O’Donohue wrote: “The self does not awaken to find itself trapped in an isolated subjectivity. Instead, it awakens to ultimate participation; it is a living threshold between nature and divinity, a presence that is wild, free, diverse, and indivisible.”
Through a weaving of experiential practices and content on complex developmental relational trauma through the lens of Somatic Experiencing, we’ll explore how to access the presence and deep wisdom that lives in all of us. This profound wisdom can be medicine for ourselves and others.
We’ll be working with somatic touch as well as presenting movement practices, maps and tools, and demos that can support you and your clients in getting to some deeper aspects of cPTSD through the safety of a secure relational container. You’ll experience the mutually healing flow of these practices.
There will be opportunities for individual sessions as well as case consult processing. So this can be an opportunity to enhance your professional development as well.
Trained as a nurse and worked in the Intensive Care Unit in the early and mid-nineties, she has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and several post-graduate three-year training certificates, such as:
