Shame inhibits. Everything. It shuts us down, thwarts our life force, and distorts our understanding of who we really are. Shame impedes Truth.
On the other side of shame is access to our inherent enlivenment, sentience, and joy.
Shame needs isolation, secrecy, and judgment. Shame doesn’t like light, support, togetherness, compassion, and empathy. In our retreat, we will gather together to dismantle the underpinnings of shame in a highly titrated way. We will endeavor to look at the truth that shame seeks to conceal… your essence and your wholeness.
In this retreat, we will do a deep dive into what developmental and complex trauma is, the impact it can have on our understanding of our sense of Self, and the disruptions and distortions it can cause in every aspect of our lives, including relationships.
We’ll explore how to access presence and deep wisdom that lives in all of us. This deep wisdom can be medicine for ourselves and others.
We’ll be working with somatic touch as well as presenting movement practices, maps and tools, and demos that can support you and your clients in getting to some deeper aspects through the safety of a secure relational container.
You’ll experience the mutually healing flow of these practices.
There will be opportunities for individual sessions after the retreat, as well as case consult processing. So this can be an opportunity to enhance your professional development as well.
