For all the practitioners it is valuable and important to practise skills, to talk about them and share with their colleagues as well as with more experienced ones in order to grow and dive deeper into the world of SE.

Casa Maya organizes weekends for the practices giving participants a place in which they can be focused and completely devoted to the work.

Who Is In Featured Image

In this process, step by step we naturally connect and return to our own center, true, authentic self – the one WHO IS IN.

Gradually the mind calms, the body relaxes, awareness expands, the truth emerges and we reach our essence.

Relaxation, trust, openness and connection to ourselves and others accompany along the way and we begin to accept ourselves exactly as we are.

We live ourselves with the rich palette of everything we experience in our body, feelings, sensations and awareness at any given moment.

In the process, we discover and experience our truth and reality alone, but also in the presence of the other participants.

The leaders of the process and the team of assistants provide a secure environment, assist and support the personal path of each participant.

Embodying Organs and Glands: The body, movement, and consciousness form a profound interplay, each shaping the other. While movement is often linked to muscles, organs and glands uniquely influence our physicality, offering a rich spectrum of movement qualities and states of consciousness. Organs, foundational to life, not only support bodily functions like breathing and nourishment but also contribute emotional depth to movement and voice. Working with organs through touch, sound, or movement can align and enhance flexibility, strength, and emotional expression.

Endocrine glands, the body’s chemical regulators, connect organs and the nervous system, creating pathways for distinct states of consciousness. Engaging with these glands can improve spinal mobility, limb articulation, and balance while fostering unique emotional and physiological expressions. Their impact extends far beyond their physical locations, shaping our sense of presence and vitality.

This course invites participants to explore the connections between organs, glands, and other body systems through movement, touch, and voice. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and openness to deep self-discovery.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, light-touch therapy rooted in Osteopathy. Dr. Still, the founder of Osteopathy, emphasized the connection between structure and function, believing the body is a self-correcting system. His teachings influenced Dr. Sutherland, who discovered that cranial bones move slightly in response to the rhythmic flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This movement, called primary respiration, flows from the spine to the cranium and sacrum, shaping the body’s natural rhythm and vitality.

Craniosacral Therapists sense restrictions, balance, and health by observing how CSF interacts with tissues, bones, and membranes. Using perceptive touch, therapists follow the body’s cues to areas of holding patterns or dysfunction, while honoring its innate ability to self-correct. BCST focuses on connecting with both tension and underlying health, guiding treatments to address the root causes of imbalance, rather than just symptoms.

Key principles of BCST include the body’s rhythmic expansion and contraction and its inherent intelligence. Therapists support the body to heal at a tolerable pace, avoiding overwhelm and fostering sustainable shifts. BCST honors the idea that “the most intelligent thing in the room is the body”, creating space for clients to reconnect with their vitality and balance.

Join Barbara Collier at Casa Maya, a sanctuary for healing and transformation, where we are invited to connect with ourselves and others during these uncertain times. True healing requires embracing our whole being—body, mind, heart, and spirit. By deepening self-connection and cultivating kindness toward ourselves, we unlock the ability to support both our well-being and that of our clients.

Somatic touch practices play a crucial role in nervous system regulation, guiding us from states of stress and anxiety to ease and connection. Through limbic resonance, practitioners foster deep, nonverbal bonds of safety, trust, and connection, promoting healing at a cellular level. Addressing patterns created by trauma, grief, and unexpressed emotions, somatic techniques can help release these dynamics and restore presence and embodiment.

At this 5-day retreat, you’ll explore trauma coupling dynamics, discover tools to remain grounded, and experience the transformative power of touch. Designed for those familiar with Barbara’s work, Casa Maya offers an opportunity to deepen your practice and find lasting connection and healing.
